Workshops

I run regular workshops. My aim is to encourage both beginners and advanced students to develop their ideas in response to a wide range of techniques.

To this end, various methods and approaches to ceramics will be presented in these workshops including sculptural, domestic and architectural.

All the traditional techniques of making, including hand-building and wheel throwing, glazing, use of slips, stoneware and earthenware will be covered.

Also, the use of new materials, for example 'paper clay', and embedding will be explored along with raku techniques.

The workshops will be undertaken in a large, well-equipped modern studio space based at Persistence Works which is situated in the heart of Sheffield’s Cultural Industries Quarter.

Persistence Works is a short walking distance from the train station and bus interchange. There are also pay & display parking places available around the city for car users.

Please contact me for further information including available dates and fees.
